In 1998, sisters Susan Brown
and Judy Baker were called upon to help rescue the feral cats at Bay Meadows
race track. Due to construction at the track, these feral cats were in
danger of injury, death, and being left homeless. After Susan and Judy
succeeded in their efforts, they felt they could serve a valuable niche
in the community by helping in ways that other shelters cannot or do not.
Today, Humanimal Connection rescues homeless, unwanted, abandoned and sometimes abused and neglected, kittens and cats. Humanimal Connection also rescues kittens and cats from other shelthers (for instance, other shelters who euthanize). Humanimal Connection provides these kittens and cats with medical care, human affection, and then works non-stop to find them the forever homes they deserve. For more about kittens and cats available for adoption, click here.
Humanimal Connection also provides assistance and guidence to those with a feral cat situation (through humane trapping, socialization, and/or colony management). For more information on feral cat colony assistance, click here.
As an organization that is run entirely by volunteers, Humanimal Connection welcomes the help and assistance from community members. Humanimal Connection needs foster families and volunteers like you to help our organization reach its goals!
